Ideas Generation
These two ideas are the potential ideas for my advert. Both quite similar as they are stand alone. however the difference between both is that the second idea is more relaxed, the first idea as a more sexy and glamorous feel to it.
For my group and I came up with two story boards. The first board was the one we ended up using. It was a stand alone. Due to the fact that it had more relations to the product we were trying to advertise, also the advert was easier to produce. The advert is aimed at females of all age group, mascara is an essential make up product and is rather necessary for a nice everyday look .The advert involved more close ups and medium shot because the aim was to more on the eyelashes and get a close view on the eyelashes. The idea was the open the advert with the eyelashes being the first scene the advantage of this to get the audience to fall love with the eyelashes before the voice over even started. My plan was to the advert with the medium shot of her flicking her hair and also adding a reverse motion of her flicking her hair.
For the second storyboard, as well as the first one this was a stand alone as well. The advert is aimed at females of all age group, mascara is an essential make up product and is rather necessary for a nice everyday look . The aim was to include long shots and few medium shots to it, but considering that the advert was about a mascara it would not be appropriate to not include close ups in an advert that is supposed to concentrate on eyelashes. We wanted to include lots body movement and incorporate it with the eyelashes. The type of music that was planned to be used was a sound with dramatic feel to it, we did not really need to involve a music with words to distract the audience, what we needed was just a sound to make it more dramatic.
